I love summertime and everything that it brings with it! Popsicles, ice cream, being in the backyard soaking up the sun, going on road trips, you name it! This month’s Craft Challenge blog post is all about using cool treats to make a trifold gift card holder – perfect for upcoming birthdays or special occasions! The other cool part about this month’s tutorial is that you can use the idea with other themes to make gift card holders for any theme you need. You could swap out the ice cream for flowers or starfish or whatever tickles your fancy. So, let’s get crafting!
I used Stampin’ Up! products from my craft stash to create this popsicle inspired card:
Here’s the measurements of the supplies that I used:
Step 1: Stamp the bottom of the ice-cream cone in Crumb Cake ink on the 2″ x 2″ Crumb Cake Cardstock.
Step 2: Stamp the “sweet” greeting in Pool Party ink multiple times in middle of the 2″ x 3″ Whisper White Cardstock.
Step 3: Stamp the “I hope your day is as sweet as you are” greeting in the center panel of the 3-1/2″ x 7″ Crumb Cake Cardstock, masking to stack the greeting.
Step 4: Stamp “sweet as you are” in Pool Party ink on the 4-1/4″ x 5-1/2″ Whisper White Cardstock.
Step 5: Cut out “you are” and “sweet” with Paper Snips.
Step 6: Use the Big Shot to cut out the ice-cream cone, ice cream scoop and chocolate sauce images.
Step 7: Adhere the Tasty Treats Designer Series Paper to the card base using Fast Fuse Adhesive.
Step 8: Adhere layers and pieces using Fast Fuse Adhesive, snail adhesive, or Stampin’ Dimensionals.
Step 9: Tie Baker’s Twine onto the “sweet” cardstock piece.
Step 10: Adhere Sprinkles Embellishments onto the Sweet Trifold Card using the Fine-Tip Glue Pen.
Step 11: Using the Envelope Punch Board and the Designer Series Paper, make an envelope for the card sizes: 3-1/2″ x 5″ with Pool Party grid pattern.
You’ve now completed your sweet trifold gift card holder! Congratulations!
